Fortuna Connect is an all-in-one platform that helps local businesses leverage the power of social sharing to win more leads and earn repeat customers. The platform powers every business interaction in a modern, convenient way.
I worked with Fortuna to bring the vision for their product to life. As the sole designer, I was tasked with overhauling the MVP’s entire user experience to create an app that is as seamless to use as it is visually pleasing.
To build out the new app, I broke down the product’s feature requirements into 3 main objectives.
1. Capture & convert leads with messenger
Fortuna needed a way to turn online prospects into offline buyers by not only standing out where they’re searching, but also by providing a convenient way to get in touch.
By creating a built-in messenger feature, customers can text any business inquiry straight from Google My Business, Facebook, Whatsapp, or via the WebChat applet integrated on the local business’s site. These inquiries are syndicated in one section of the platform to allow for easy response management.
My goal was to create convenient interactions by allowing users to chat with their leads on their preferred mode of communication — texting.
2. Show up on the sites that matter
Fortuna’s users know it all starts with a search — and they want to show up on top on Google, Facebook, and other industry sites with real customer reviews. In order to accomplish this, I considered what methods users would want to utilize in order to gather more social proof from their own customers.
By integrating a quick Review Request feature, users can enter their customer’s phone or email address and instantly send a link to that customer requesting a review on the site of their choice.
3. Create enagement with campaigns
Fortuna’s users also need a way to stay in touch with their customers, including sending out personalized review requests.
To do this, I designed the Campaigns section of the platform to provide users with a seamless means of setting up customized email or SMS campaigns based on customer segments.
Think mailchimp meets Google reviews.
Users can also create templates that are fully customizeable - right down to using their own brand colours, typography, and wording.
Users can then specify the customer segments they’d like to send the campaign to.
Finally, users can choose to send the campaign right away or schedule it for later.
